Law is nothing other than a certain ordinance of reason for
the common good, promulgated by the person who has the care of the community.
Thomas Aquinas
When you see my recipe you might think well I could put this
in or that in or leave that out. Well yes you could do your own thing. You
might think this is too simple. If you do you're missing the point. I know lots
of cooks especially at this time who think the rules are meant to be broken.
Well that's okay if you know what you are doing. Most don't. Or have got so far
away from the original idea so stick to the recipe and get it right first
before even thinking of moving on. Perhaps you’re a rebel but this is not the
cause and laws are not meant to be broken that's just naughty children.
Keep it simple might be a motto to change your life.

Lemon Turkey Steak
Salad
Serves 4
4 Turkey Steaks ,
175g
1 Iceberg Lettuce, small
1 pk Mixed Salad Leaves
50g Sesame Seeds
300ml Olive Oil
¼ Bottle Lemon Juice
300g Honey
8 Cherry Tomatoes
½ bch Spring Onions
2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
First of all prepare a dressing by mixing together the Olive
Oil, Dijon Mustard, honey and lemon juice. You may not need all the honey so
add it gradually to your own taste so that it is not too sweet. Season the
dressing with a little salt and pepper. Then leave to one side until the salad
is ready.
Rip up the lettuce leaves and combine in a large bowl. Cut
the cherry tomatoes in half and chop the spring onions finely and add to the
salad leaves.
Mix the dressing into the salad leaves and divide between
four small salad bowls.
Brush the turkey steaks with a little of the dressing and
grill or barbecue. This should take about 10-12 minutes. Turn once to cook on
both sides.
Remove from heat when cooked and place on a cutting board.
Carve into slices with a sharp knife. Arrange the pieces evenly between the
salad bowls then decorate with tomatoes and spring onions.
Lastly sprinkle with sesame seeds, which may be toasted if
desired.
